A former head surgeon at a Swiss hospital, Ziegler developed a breakthrough in nanobiology that was revolutionary in the world of medicine. She was noticed by Overwatch, and she was all too happy to join them, wanting a larger platform and more resources to save lives. There, she was able to develop the Valkyrie Suit, equipped with light armor and robotic wings to allow her to fly quickly to her fellows in battle and offer her aid as a field medic. A pacifist by nature, she often found herself regretting the need for things to come to violence. However, she was dedicated to her work as a healer, and committed to helping her teammates by offering whatever support she could. She has been continuing her work in medicine since Overwatch disbanded, traveling to pop-up clinics in undeveloped nations to tend to the sick and injured. With rumors that Overwatch may be called back into action, Angela is keeping herself prepared to join up with her old teammates.
